Craigiebank, Dundee

Description of project

IRS Scotland Ltd were appointed as Principal Contractors under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 to deliver the Craigiebank Dundee Fabric Upgrade Programme on behalf of Dundee City Council and funding partners SSE. The project involved energy improvement works to 215 units 52 no 4 in a block units and 7 end terrace properties. The works consisted of replacement facias, soffits and rainwater goods including new upgraded soil stacks and waste pipes etc. and installation of a new Alsecco Ecomin External wall insulation system and associated works.

This project had some very challenging timescales attached to it due to a late start where IRS were required to transform these properties from old to new in record time.

Including the safe removal of all cast pipe works which were found to be lined with asbestos during our initial property surveys. As usual IRS rose to the challenge and delivered these properties to an exceptionally high standard on time and most importantly on budget for our clients once again creating huge improvements to the welfare and comfort for the homeowners.
